What kind of choke was used? Modified choke in both barrels. Analysis of the 5 misses: Miss #1- The shooter’s eyes went to the barrel because he tried to measure the lead. Your gun will always follow where your eyes go. If your eyes stop looking at the target, then you gun swing stops matching the speed of the bird. Aiming at the target results in not giving the bird enough lead. Miss #2- The shooter anticipated the recoil. The sub-conscious fear of the recoil caused him to lift his head off the gun, resulting in the gun shooting high and muzzle-flip after the shot. Miss #3- The shooter did not have enough lead established. Miss #4- The shooter’s eyes moved to the trap house when they called “pull." This resulted from not maintaining a "look point" with quiet eyes off in the distance. The move was then rushed and had too much gun speed. Miss #5- The shooter had a tilted (canted) gun mount, therefore, the gun did not shoot where he was looking. Trapshooting is a game of movement, action and split-second timing.
