A special committee in Albany is investigating what it says are serious and possibly even criminal allegations being made by current and former city employees. They include workplace discrimination, violence, bribery and trading sex, drugs and alcohol in exchange for “no show overtime,” a practice known as “bottle service.” Councilmember Meghan Keegan, Chair of the “Ethics and Workforce Culture Ad-Hoc Committee,” presented its first report to the Common Council, as the investigation continues.
