This is the first video in the "Epistemology" series where we investigate what knowledge is. How do we know what we know? This video tackles the most critical aspect of knowledge; it's almost always uncertain. One of the most important things we need to understand about knowledge is that it is always subject to change. Nothing we can say we know -- except for this one thing, which I'll explain later -- can be said to be certain. This is because knowledge is a lot like a map. What is the purpose of a map? We use and create them to depict a territory, and the more accurate the map, the more useful it is. Knowledge is the same. Knowledge is essentially our way of "mapping" the universe around us. But because we are limited, we can only make tentative models. When trying to learn if something is true or not, remember that knowledge is always subject to change, and we can only know something as far as we can explain it or put it on our maps. Join me on the rest of the series, and please comment below on what you think of the content. Do you agree?
