Local residents who would like to become a cat or kitten parent have plenty to choose from at the Humane Society of Northern Virginia (HSNV). More than 20 felines are being housed at the non-profit’s rescue center, according to Director Sherry Turner. That doesn’t include the adoptable cats that are in foster homes. Powered by Advocates for Abused and Abandoned Pets (A3P), HSNV is seeking forever homes for these four-legged friends. Prospective pet owners can have a meet and greet with adoptable kittens and cats in Dumfries. The center, located at 17983 Dumfries Shopping Plaza, is open from Noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. “You can come in and just hang out with them, and see who you like or who likes you,” Turner said. Due to an influx of kittens, the humane society is always in need of foster homes. “Fosters are the lifeblood to the rescue, and without them we just couldn’t do what we’re doing," Turner explained. "I mean, our facility is nice, but it's just not big enough to accommodate all of those precious little lives that need help and care.” You can read the full article here: https://whatsupwoodbridge.com/adoptab...
