A: I was listening to a podcast that said, “it’s important to live life by design rather than emotion. Basically, sticking to a routine is what allows us to be the healthiest version of ourselves (especially when you're fighting these demons ex. OCD for me). I've had to revamp my approach to studying, exercising, and self-care by prioritizing “mediocre consistency.” I aim for a consistent 40-60% effort in my daily routines, which includes studying, exercising, and journaling. To ensure I stick to it, I've started documenting and sharing my progress on YouTube. In the past, I tended to push myself too hard, leading to burnout and long depressive phases and horrible time with OCD. Now, I focus on a smaller, consistent effort every day. It's surprising how it all adds up. What do you study? A: combination of course work for my business degree and volunteer work, where I translate primary research (Tamil to English) so it can be used to write papers for the organization I help out. I’m not the best at reading/writing Tamil so it takes a lot of elbow grease, which is why I try to work consistently everyday so I dont procrastinate, get overwhelmed and crash (I’ve done that before). Are you diagnosed with ocd? A: Yesssssssir. Been seeing a therapist. Love that lady. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… Ko-Fi! https://ko-fi.com/risika ………………………………………………………………………………………….……………………… MUSIC Epidemic Sound: https://share.epidemicsound.com/b2ryiz
