First off, apologies for the auto focus, it's having a bit of a crisis. In my line of work, where to latch onto a car to pull it onto the tray or out of the mud or even back onto its wheels is very important. It's the same when you self recover, the gear you use and how you use it will effect the outcome regardless of having the best winch in the world for example.
