The FANTASTIC Østbu guitar I got from my friend Mr. Henry Østbu more than 25 years ago is now the property of my FANTASTIC daughter, and is taken care of and used by me and other musicians in the ❤️SUSTAINABLE-LIFE-LIFE 🎵 International artists forum: I had the honour of knowing Mr. Henry Østbu who one day suddenly said he would make me a guitar. So he DID 3 years after he closed his Østbu Guitar factory at Slettås in Trysil which he and his brother and neighbour Mr. Magne Østbu started back in 1947 Henry was one of the kindest persons I’ve ever met, and I miss him a lot - ❤️R.I.P. Henry He gave me the guitar for free, and after I had it repaired in 2024 by Mr. Erik Welo and Mr. Benjamin at Gulden Guitars in Mjøndalen, I recorded my friend since I was 15 years old Mr. Ole Bjørn Berge - today recognized by TOP musicians in Norway to be the best guitarist in Norway playing at it in the Gulden Guitar workshop speaking with Erik Welo and filming Benjamin busy in the workshop The same day I also recorded when my friend Mr. Vidar Busk played at Østbu guitar, saying it’s a FANTASTIC instrument ! There, my friend and "brother" Mr. Ole Martin singing in the Choir Langesund Mandsang played on it, as well as some other really good musicians who didn’t want me to publish the film for their own personal reasons, so that film was archived in our private history.. The next morning I gave the Østbu guitar to my FANTASTIC ❤️daughter and told her to keep it in the family for the following generations as a memory of Henry Østby who passed away in 2008. Today It’s possible to visit Østbu Guitar factory because the Trysil Commuity and the locals at Slettås made it into a museum where you can see all the machines Henry made by himself, and also probably photos at the wall of really famous guitarists picking up their new guitars One of them was nobody else than Mr. Terje Rypdal himself picking up 6 guitars!
