WBBM was uniquely positioned to cover last year’s Democratic National Convention with the historic event taking place in Chicago. We were inside the United Center for primetime speeches; our reporters covered several protests and demonstrations; and we talked to local residents and business owners about the impact on their lives. To create a central hub for election news in 2024, WBBM branded its election coverage as “Election Central.” During the convention, this offered us a chance to highlight our DNC stories on-air, while also proving a special destination for that content on our website.
