A Rubyhorse moment, unearthed. In February 2003, after years of building momentum on the road in the United States, Rubyhorse returned to Ireland for a whirlwind national tour. The run took us through Limerick, Kilkenny, Galway, and Cork, culminating in a headline homecoming at Whelan’s in Dublin. On the afternoon of February 8th, we stopped by RTÉ studios for a rare Irish television appearance on Open House. Introduced by Marty Whelan, we performed a live studio version of “Any Day Now.” Because so much of the Rubyhorse story unfolded on American stages and airwaves, moments like this from back home were few and far between. This footage has been resting in the vaults for over two decades; we’ve finally brought it back into the light. It’s a brief snapshot of an exciting era—a band living the American dream, stepping into a Dublin studio for a moment, and heading across the city to play a sold-out show that same night.
