Send me an E-mail: [email protected] Franklin Mills Mall opened May 1989. Originally it was a Ben Franklin themed mall. It was colorful, full of energy and in the shape of a lightening bolt. Each entrance had a kite with a lightening bolt on it. At the time it was one of the largest malls in the United States of America. In 2007 it was bought by Simon Property. In 2014 as part of a multi million dollar renovation the name changed to Philadelphia Mills Mall and lost it's Ben Franklin look and feel.
