Get some wheels for your Q50: https://www.threepiece.us/new-wheels?... Meet the G37 2.0. It’s about the same weight, has the same guts, same size, and yet the Q50 is a bit faster AND more luxurious. Don’t believe us? Ask ChatGPT. The G-Series is about as cheap as it’s going to get; on the other hand, the Q-Series is progressively getting more and more affordable. Don’t be surprised if these become one of the best bang-4-buck entry level driver’s cars. If and when these become a staple of your local takeover, they’re going to need some aftermarket wheels - so that’s what we’re talking about today. This fitment guide will look at all types of fitment for the Infiniti Q50, years 2014-2024. This will include all trim levels, RWD and AWD, although AWD models have some special considerations that we’ll get to in a minute. Basic fitment info Lug pattern: 5x114.3 Lug thread: m12x1.25 Center bore: 66.1 mm Lug torque: 80 ft/lbs All the vital numbers above are the same as the G37, meaning you have plenty of options to choose from. What to know if you drive an AWD Q50 Most of the fitment info you’ll find, whether be from here or your favorite FB group, will be on RWD cars. This is fine, but before you copy someone else’s fitment 1-to-1, you’ll need to ensure the rolling diameter is within 2% front to rear. This is all in the tire size. Staggered setups are fine as long as the total tire height is within 2% difference front to back. Keep this in mind as not all setups shown here look at will work with AWD. The second issue is with lowering AWD cars. This problem is kinda unique to this platform. Basically, the front axles will give you grief if you lower your car more than, like, an inch. This is down to the Q50 axles not being long enough to stay properly seated when the car is lowered. Complications range from vibrations and noise, up to axles popping out or breaking. The solution is switching your stock Q50 axles for longer ones from an Infiniti/Nissan with a wider wheelbase. The most popular option is an OEM unit sourced from the M56x/Q70. There could be other models that work too, given they share the same axle splines. You could also look into ‘axle spacers to give a bit more length, if needed. There isn’t a one size fits all solution as it depends on your ride height. Akebono brake clearance If your Q has an Akebono brake package i.e. Sport models, or you’re planning on retrofitting some, you’ll need to be mindful of wheel-to-caliper clearance. Nothing is worse than trying to mount some new wheels just to have them hit the caliper. These 14” Akebonos are the exact same as on the 370z and G37. Pro tip: if you’re researching whether a particular wheel will clear the brakes, you should start on Z or G forums, you’re likely to find the info you need there as people have tried basically every combination of wheels on those cars. Before that, there’s even better resources. Here’s a list of popular wheels that either pass or fail. https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/.... Wrap up Whatever type of fitment you want for your Q50, we showed some examples in this guide. Wheels are one of those things that can throw off an entire build if done wrong. Hopefully this gets you started in the right direction to make your car look and perform the way you want. Whatever direction you go, we got the parts to make it happen. Of course, this means wheels and tires, but also suspension and much, much more.
