In this astrophotography video, I collect light on a Splendid Galaxy in Canes Venatici known as M106. Using the Polar Alignment feature in SharpCap Pro, I was able to achieve my best polar alignment for astrophotography yet. Step By Step Process: http://astrobackyard.com/polar-alignm... This is a great method for anyone looking to improve the accuracy of their tracking telescope mount. The field of view produced by the Altair GPCAM2 and Starwave 50mm guide scope is a perfect pairing for this process. In the end, I was only able to capture about 2 hours worth of exposures on M106, but it was enough to reveal the beautiful structure of the galaxy. The camera used was a ZWO ASI071MC-Cool, through an Explore Scientific ED102 CF Triplet Apochromatic Refractor.
