This is day 3 of Kerala Trip. We reached Munnar in the night of day 2 after coming from Athirappilly Waterfall. Our stay in K-mansion was fabulous. We paid around 3000, including the breakfast. Based on the season and occupancy, the rate might go up or down. On day 3, early morning, at 3:30 AM, we started the offroading trip to Kolukkumalai for famous sunrise by reaching there on Jeep doing heavy offroading. Kolukkumalai is named to be the world's highest tea plantations. We were in a group of 10 in two jeeps. As part of the package, they will pick up from the hotel and change to offroading jeep from Suryanelli pickup point. We paid 1100 INR for that package. Understood that if you reach Suryanelli at pickup point, then they will 500 - 600 INR for going to the top of Kolukkumalai. The sunrise from Kolukkumalai was simply magical. NOTE: Kolukkumalai jeep safari or offroading is not recommended for small babies or people of back pain. This trip was done around monsoon, so getting similar cloud cover or fog is subject, but the views are simply awesome in Munnar all they way. Want to have a custom estimate of Kerala trip cost?
