UPDATE 27.3.8.2 0:00 Basic Information Kuva is a special resource with a dual purpose, beyond just being a crafting component kuva can be used to reroll the stats on a riven mod. Kuva can only be earned by playing the game, kuva can not be bought from the market or traded with other player. To access kuva players must first complete The War Within quest. Doing so will relieve the new area known as the Kuva Fortress and the effects it has on the rest of the star chart, namely kuva siphons and kuva floods. 0:16 Siphons and Floods The Kuva Fortress is mobile and it travels around the star chart, 2 of the nearest planets will temporary play host to kuva siphons and kuva floods, these are additional objectives. The 5 siphon nodes and 1 flood node refresh at an hourly rate. Depending on the scenario it might be easier to find and destroy the siphon before completing the mission objective or vice versa. Once found the siphon will begin to extract kuva from the air, the siphon will raise one of its 4 braid arms and point towards a cloud of inbound kuva. The player must use their operator's void dash or amp primary fire to stop the incoming clouds before they reach the siphon. When all 4 arms are destroyed the siphon explodes and the kuva reward is shown onscreen. If the siphon is allowed collect 8 clouds then it teleports away and the player will receive a much smaller reward. When attempting to have an active Smeeta charm buff the player may need to wait for some time, if this is the case then completing the objective is one way to pass the time. It might also be easier to quit and retry the mission if the fail count is almost filled up and the kavat buff is still not active. Increase kuva gain with a resource booster and the Smeeta's affinity buff. 1:41 Kuva Survival There is only one kuva survival node and it is found on Taveuni, Kuva Fortress. Kuva survival is similar to regular survival but with the addition of a Kuva Catalyst, this pickups drop from downed Eximus units. Standing next to life support buoy with a catalyst in hand will convert the life support into a Kuva Harvester. Harvesters give 200 kuva and a reduced life support increase of 10%. Loot frames may help with longer runs since they can spawn more life support bonuses from downed enemies. 2:25 Disruptions There is only one kuva disruption node and it is found on Tamu, Kuva Fortress. The kuva variant of disruptions function completely the same as normal disruptions with the only difference being in the prizes. Kuva demolisher units rush towards an active conduit and will destroy themselves and the conduit if not stopped. The demo units drop 50 kuva and all the defended conduits also reward kuva. 3:04 Requiem Fissures Another variant mission type on the Kuva Fortess, this time its requiem fissures. These T5 fissures can appear on any of the Kuva Fortress nodes and they are limited to 2 at any given time.
