Join this channel to get access to perks:    / @forsakenexploration      / @captaincornishadventures   Join us this week as me and Captain Cornish explore Botallack Manor, nestled on Cornwall`s wild tin coast, This small grade 2 listed l shaped manor was carved from granite rubble, completed in the 1660`s and proudly bearing an engraved datestone of 1681 on the fireplace. In the 17th century, Tudor barns stood beside the later 18th and 19th century farm outbuildings, hinting at century`s of agricultural life on what was a working farm. During the 1700`s John Wesley even preached from the mansions garden, though local legend says not always to a welcoming crowd. In 1950, historic England designated the manor as the only grade 2 listed building in the area, recognizing its architectural and cultural significance. Then in 1975 fans first saw it on screen in the original BBC Poldark series as Ross Poldark`s home, Nampara, though only the rear was used. Sadly the house has stood vacant since 2013 and was later added to save Britan`s heritage in 2019, plans were stalled due to the pandemic and remain unfulfilled to date.
