This video highlights the 2014 University of Dayton basketball team during their Elite 8 run during March Madness in the NCAA Tournament. Student celebrations are a key focus. Videos of students rioting in the ghetto (University of Dayton housing area), specifically on Kiefaber Street, where the majority of the partying took place. Students began crowding on Kiefaber in excitement over their Flyers March Madness run. The video shows students up in trees, dancing and partying in the streets, burning couches, and chanting with pride. It also highlights president Dan Curran crowd surfing with the students and fans in celebration. Police showed up in riot gear with batons and shields to control the crazy atmosphere, but they did not slow down the passionate Dayton Flyer fans and the mob of people. The video goes through round one, Dayton Flyers verses the Ohio State Buckeyes, where a late shot by Vee Sanford and a buzzer-beater miss by Aaron Craft sealed the victory for the Dayton Flyers. The party atmosphere at Milanos on Brown Street is shown in celebration over this game. Round two (top 32) the Dayton Flyers played the Syracuse Orange, and again Dayton Basketball lead by Archie Miller pulled away on a last second thriller. The players celebrated in excitement on the court and the students rioted in the Ghetto once again in excitement. The Dayton Flyers basketball team was now in the Sweet 16 (Sweet Sixteen) for the first time since 1984. The Sweet 16 game was verses the Stanford Cardinals, where the Flyers took a commanding lead and dominated the basketball game. This gave the wild University of Dayton students more reason to party like crazy on campus streets in celebration, as their Flyers were going to the Elite 8 (Elite eight). The University of Dayton basketball team played the Florida Gators in the Elite 8, in which they lost. The support of the students at the University of Dayton and general fan support was incredible during this run, a key theme of the video.
