This week Schony747 has an easy time line side videoing the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre's weekend train to Benalla and Yarrawonga along the Oaklands Grain Line. It's full line speed from Melbourne but the speed dramatically slows as the branch line itself is in pretty poor condition. With the maximum speed around 30 km per hour for most of the line, preserved Victorian Railways diesels X31 and C501 make easy work of the line. The train has a mix of former Spirit of Progress and V/Line N Set passenger cars. The train runs through some pretty scenery and the disused silos with silo art on the side adds to the very rural feel of the line. It's always an easy train to follow and we managed a few iconic locations along the line. Have a great week - Brenden S.
