Maybe. Was it worth it? Absolutely. I PROMISE the final update is coming soon because every single wet stick has rooted (!!) and we officially have a comeback story. This Variegated Snow Capped Begonia was stunning in its prime, which makes its decline even more painful. I didn’t realize it was sitting in a sponge plug, and by the time I figured it out, the damage was done. But we live, we learn, and now I get to experiment with a dozen propagations. Sometimes plant mistakes turn into the best experiments. There are 3 ways to propagate Begonias depending on the type: STEM PROPAGATION (Cane Begonias) 1. Cut a section of cane with 1–3 nodes. Keep at least one leaf if possible. 2. Trim bottom leaves so nodes are exposed. 3. Place stem upright in water or stick into moist medium (I used stratum). 4. Keep humidity high (cover with a clear bag if in soil). PETIOLE PROPAGATION (Rex Begonias) 1. Cut a leaf with 1–2 inches of petiole. 2. Insert the petiole into moist medium (I used coconut coir + perlite). 3. Cover with dome/bag for humidity. 4. Keep bright, indirect light. LEAF PROPAGATION (Rex Begonias) 1. Slice veins on underside of leaf. 2. Press the cuts onto the medium (I used coconut coir + perlite). 3.
