#ROMANG - FULL OFFICIAL TRAILER 👉Subscribe for more: http://bit.ly/redzonetrailer Nam-bong has been a stubborn taxi driver all his life. He’s not too thrilled about his wife Mae-ja, who always takes care of him, his son Jin-soo, who has his PhD but is jobless, Jinsoo’s wife Jung-hee, who always speaks her mind, and Eun-ji, his granddaughter who is too playful for his liking. Nam-bong is always quick to complain about his family who live with him. Then one day, Mae-ja, who has always been healthy and bright, shows signs of dementia. Suddenly disoriented with no memory of the present, Mae-ja recalls her daughter who died long time ago, panics, and turns the house upside down. Nam-bong explodes and sends his wife away to a nursing home. Although they lived together for a lifetime, Nam-bong has lost the same ‘feelings’ with his wife, but he begins to appreciate her more while living apart for the first time. Later, when he learns his best friend’s wife had suddenly passed away, Nam-bong brings Mae-ja back home to spend what’s left of their time together. Although late, Nam-bong comes around and starts to take care of his wife. However, the dark shadow of dementia falls on him too. Unable to bear Mae-ja’s dangerous fits of panic any longer, Jung-hee, along with Jin-soo and Eun-ji leave for her mother’s house. Eventually, Nam-bong and Mae-ja, who both suffer from dementia, are the only ones left in the house. As the senile couple takes care of each other, a new ‘romance’ between them sprouts. Their love for each other, which has grown frigid over the years, slowly begins to melt with Maeja’s first note to Nam-bong. Whenever they come back to normal and recall what’s going on, they leave notes for each other on sketchbooks and live happily like newlyweds. One day, Mae-ja is traumatized by the sight of her strange behaviors that Eun-ji had recorded on her cell phone. Her condition worsens from the shock and she eventually becomes hospitalized. Not wanting to be a burden to Nam-bong and the rest of her family any longer, Mae-ja writes a letter when she has gained ciousness. Then she tries to commit suicide but fails. Nam-bong, who learns of his wife’s intentions through her final letter, prepares for one last trip away together. Nam-bong takes Mae-ja on the taxi he had driven his entire life and departs for their final destination. The last trip of two people, who have confirmed their love for each other at the end of their lives, unfolds.
