Posterior teeth arrangement refers to the positioning and interdigitation of the teeth towards the back of the mouth–the premolars and molars. Getting the arrangement of these posterior teeth right is crucial for proper biting and chewing. Properly aligned premolars and molars distribute biting forces evenly, prevent trauma to teeth and surrounding tissues, improve chewing efficiency, and also minimize excessive wear. Dr. Bhupendra Yadav from the Faculty of Dental Sciences tries to explain this concept in this video, giving you demonstrative examples of how you can give people back their chewing and dental well-being.
