Highland Serenade At autumn sunset, gold ignites The Scottish hills in amber glow, Through quiet glens and mirrored lochs Where cooling evening breezes flow. Violins rise—acoustic, clear— A classical breath on crimson air; Bagpipes answer, bold and bright, An orchestral flame flung high and fair. Stags stand etched on dusking crests, Antlers crowned in fading light; Nature hums, environmental, free, Energetic though wrapped in night. O Highland serenade, inspire— Uplifting hearts where echoes roam; Upbeat spirits climb ever higher, In wild, wide lands we call our home. Creating songs from my poetry, along with notes and ideas I have written over the years—many originally developed to describe my art and photography—has become a newly discovered way of keeping my curious and creative mind active.
