How to Install Inside Mount Mini Blinds

Most people think installing their own blinds is hard. Following the simple, step-by-step instructions in this video though makes hanging your custom mini blinds easy to do yourself! Just screw the brackets in, slide the headrail into place, close the hinges on the brackets, and attach the wand and valance and you’re done! Here’s how you do it: 1. Mark where you want to place your brackets. For this install, we’re going to be hanging the blinds inside the window frame, so the brackets will be attached to the sides of the frame at the top of the window. Check that the top of the window frame is level and place the brackets in the corners as close to the outer edges of the window frame as possible. Use a pencil or marker to mark the place where each screw will go. 2. Predrill the holes using the 5/64” drill bit and screw the brackets into place. 3. Clip the valance clips to the onto the headrail. Once they are attached, slide them so they are centered. 4. Slide the headrail into the brackets and close the hinged front pieces 5. Attach the wand by putting the hook sleeve (little plastic piece) on the tilt mechanism. Then hook the wand onto the exposed loop and slide the hook sleeve over the connection so that the wand can’t slip off. 6. Attach the valance slats by sliding them through the grooves on the valance clips. 7. Congratulations! You just installed your own mini blinds! Wasn’t that easy?
