The statement made in this Audio in regard to #NRC is not completely correct and it is making fear among Muslim based on incorrect information. Below is the point we Clarify against this Audio : 1) 40 Lacs Muslim Family are out of NRC--Incorrect Correct Information Firstly it is Not 40 Lacs Family but 40.08 lacs Individual were reported out of NRC in the data released on 30th July 2018 and 1.02 lacs in draft released on 31st July 2019, making it total 42 lacs Individual and *NOT FAMILY*. Secondly, this 42 lacs Individual is not entirely Muslim as claimed in Audio. Whereas many Hindus, Buddhists and other religious people are also left out and since BJP was not satisfied with good amount of Hindus being left out of NRC they have filed petition in SC to reverify the data which SC rejected. So the claim that 42 lacs are only Muslim is wrong, Many Genuine Citizens are affected through this NRC that includes Muslim and Non Muslim 2) NRC Bill for whole India is passed--Totally Incorrect Neither any Bill has been placed in the Parliament for its coverage to whole India nor it is passed. However, Amit Shah in several speech has hinted for putting it through. But one must understand that Govt gets the power only from Act until the Act is passed(after passing of Bill), Government action is Null and Void. As of Now, No Motion, No Bill presented in the Parliament for application of NRC in entire India. 3) NRC is only for Muslim--Incorrect NRC is for all, it doesn't have any segregation on Religious ground. However it is CAB (Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019) which has biasness against Muslim, which could not be passed in last term and yet not presented in this Term of Re elected Govt. As far as NRC is concerned, it is applicable for all. And in case of NRC in Assam, It happened that most of Non Muslim name was found missing in NRC that is why BJP ask SC to re verify. 4) 2020 counting of NRC and six month clause- Incorrect As we know In India, in every 10 year Census calculation is done for population, last it was done on 2010 and thie will be done on 2020. So this is usual calculation of Census 2020 and Not NRC. Further, one of the criteria for including in census calculation was if you have stayed in India for 6 months or intend to stay for 6 months then you will be taken in Census. This has nothing to mixed with NRC Protocol. 5) Only 1951 Data will be considered - Incorrect Factually, this information is totally incorrect. What is the relevance of date of 1951. In the year 1951 first NRC was prepared for ASSAM (for Assam only), so now as per SC instruction NRC register in Assam is getting updated, for updation purpose for determining eligibility for NRC, NRC 1951 record and also 1971 Electoral record is being taken. Those whose name is not there in both the data. They can still register themselves in NRC by applying any common list of Document like Voters ID card, Birth Certificate, Post office record showing their link with the parents of grand parents whose name appear in either 1971 electoral or 1951 NRC. In total, information on audio is factually incorrect and provide a sense of fear among Muslim on the basis of wrong interpretation. Although I feel that intention was good but yet this type of information should not be shared in public domain unless having full information.
