AERIAL FIREFIGHTING IN ZANTE GREECE 4K

A Bush fire close to the world famous shipwreck beach (Navagio) in Zakynthos was quickly extinguished by a pair of Canadair CL-215’s, a super Puma AS322 and an iconic Sikorsky S64 air crane. With very little time I concentrated on trying to capture footage of the two planes scooping water near the harbour of Alikanas on the west side of the island. An Inconsistency in wind meant that the planes didn’t scoop in the usual location. The following morning I headed up the mountain to an area near the site of the fire. From hear I was able to capture the aircraft flying their final runs to dampen down the site.
