FINAL FANTASY X Remaster | Defeating ALL THREE Dark Magus Sisters using SENTINEL | Guide

This is a clip from FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster. This is one of the more challenging Dark Aeon battles when fought together. Yes you could separate them, but don't you want a challenge? I wanted to show you how to defeat these guys together when you have an underpowered Yuna (like I did), since her initial summon is necessary to block their Tri overdrive at the beginning of the battle. Even auto-life doesn't work! I had maxed Wakka (attack reels man!), Rikku and Tidus. I'd say best trio here would be Wakka, Tidus & Auron. Don't bother with Rikku's mixes as even with max defense and max magic defense, they'll kill you (which means you don't need to max these to win). You will need to have at least 3 strengthened characters (Max hp to 9999, 255 agility/strength/accuracy and at least 120 luck. Other stats won't matter here). They must have their respective ultimate weapons and armor with auto-haste, auto-phoenix (on at least 2 members), ribbon (on at least 1 of them - I had 2 and stoneproof on Wakka), fourth can be anything (I had auto-protect, but that does nothing here). Yuna will need armor with auto-haste and preferably auto-phoenix as well. Set your overdrives to comrade for everyone as you'll be taking individual beatings. Strategy: You'll need to start off with all three of your maxed characters (if your Yuna is maxed, this fight shouldn't be an issue). Swap in underpowered Yuna and summon the Magus sisters. Have them do anything and they will block the dark sisters' attacks and overdrive. Fortunately the sisters' attacks only hit one target, aside from their overdrives. The next bit is the tricky part. What you'll find is that Yuna will constantly die and never get a turn, causing you to have to fight with just two characters along with a Yuna that can't be swapped out. As soon as your summon has bit the dust, Quick hit Dark Sandy or Cindy (Mindy will dodge everything) until just before the dark aeon's turns. Then use Sentinel on your two main characters. as shown in the video. The dark aeon's will attack Yuna, but it'll be blocked by your Sentinel. This will allow her to survive and get her turn. At which point you swap her out for your third main character. The rest of the fight is simple - Quick hit Sandy or Cindy (focus on one), entrust Wakka and keep wailing on them using attack reels, blitz ace, tornado (if you're using Auron). I kept it simple and used reels constantly for the video. Other points of note is that, if like me you didn't have ribbon on all characters, use quick pockets to remedy the inflicted characters. Same in order to heal hp/mp using elixir/megalixir. Watch out for the Graviton overdrives, as they can wipe you out if you're not careful. Try to manipulate it so you don't get hit with two Graviton's in a row. After Sandy/Cindy goes down, the rest of the fight is a piece of pie. In my fight, Mindy went down purely with attack reels, which was handy. The fight here starts from just after my Aeons got destroyed by the tri-attack, as the animation is way too long.
