Night running on a steam heritage railway is rare I’d say, but here at the Severn Valley Railway, during their Autumn 2025 Gala, that’s exactly what is happening. Large engines, little locos, autocoaches, goods trains, and more! I’m visiting for a couple of days and have met up with some friends too. Mixed weather along the way, with some lovely autumn sunshine but some persistent rain as well. Camelot is visiting from the Bluebell Railway.
