A guide for beginners on how to perform "Drags" and block them, recommended for levels 1-20. Dragging - Accelerating or decelerating the speed and trajectory of your blade. Take your swings to the next level. A basic tutorial on dragging. Keep in mind all drag techniques can be changed, varied & parried. There are almost no limits to how slow or fast your blade swings, this can truly mess up your opponents timing and how they parry your attacks! LMB DRAG * OVERHEAD DRAG * SHOULDER DRAG * WATERFALL * 360 REVERSE OVERHEAD NOTE: This is a video on the basics of dragging, it is a simplified breakdown of a move that is quite complex. The waterfall move for example is technically a normal overhead moving from your opponents left to right, or an alt overhead from your opponents right to left, in this video the waterfall is a simple normal overhead drag to the right hitting your opponents feet. Just remember that all of these moves can be done in different directions, the options are endless... DUEL MONTAGE The 2nd half of this video has a montage of some of the duels taken in a single day. Most of the footage used for examples were taken from these duelyard duels. NEXT VIDEOS - "How to block feints and drags." ADVANCED PARRYING, MATRIX, DODGING & DANCING TUTORIAL HOW TO BLOCK FEINTS & DRAGS - RULE #1 - "Using your ears & parrying off of sound." Parrying drags, feints and ALL types of strikes is also an art form in itself... One tip on parrying drags and feints is to parry when you hear your opponent "grunt" mid-swing, remember, when they feint they make NO noise, this will allow you to parry at the last second, instead of right away. Again, try to parry off your opponents sound and also focus on their arms and chest, not their face. There is also footage of parrying drags and rainbow strikes, with footage of me getting hit by them as well!
