Part of CRD's ongoing collaboration with violinist Maya Magub to explore how the 'violin can dance'. We kickstart this project with 'Gertrude’s Dream', a waltz attributed to Beethoven (though, this is contested), full of elegance, charm, and a touch of mystery. At its heart, the track features the unmistakable oom-pah-pah rhythm that makes a waltz a waltz—but with a twist! Maya Magub's arrangement plays with time and space, subtly suspending the third beat to create a floating, dreamlike effect. It’s as if the dancers are held mid-air just a little longer before the embrace of the next turn.💃 Now available on all streaming platforms in Dolby Atmos and hi res audio.
