This is the first episode of the 'BEHIND THE MYTHS' series I'm making, addressing Wizard of Oz horror claims that people keep spreading around. DELETED NOTES_________________ There was actually a lot, I might need to update this. Here's some of them for now. 1: I deleted recordings of me going into more detail of the Hanging Munchkin timeline. I think the hanging munchkin myth started around the 1990s. My evidence for it is simply the fact that there is none. There is no evidence suggesting the original cast were even aware of the Hanging Munchkin myth's existence, and considering the last main cast member to pass away was Ray Bolger in 1987, that means the myth couldn't have started earlier than late 80's/early 90s area. Even if there was an interview I missed of Ray Bolger acknowledging the myth, there certainly isn't one of Jack Hayley nor Judy Garland. 2: The first visual evidence of a hanging munchkin (that's fake) came out in 2011. Why did it take 31 years after the original vhs for anyone to present it? The only somewhat plausible theory I thought of was that a higher up at the studio leaked the footage out of guilt or something. That's definitely not true though because the original munchkin uploader had nothing to do with the studio nor do they even live in America. I know this because they wrote "warp stabaliser" instead of "warp stabalizer". Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that the British English speaking? 3: I also went to debunk the youtube shorts that claimed the hanging munchkin was real. I decided to just focus on the main munchkin videos for this, but long story short (no pun intended) the munchkin in the YouTube shorts had the same shape and pattern to the ones in the main videos.
