Scroll Down for Chapter Markers In this video I go over my complete workflow when using the Omniscient app on iPhone with Blender. Omniscient does a great job at simplifying the VFX process when shooting scenes on an iPhone. Scanning the environment and creating a shadow catcher mesh are just a few of the reasons this app is so powerful. It also gives you accurate tracking data that quickly imports into blender (or basically any other 3D software) so you can get into the designing stage quickly. The .omni file the app provides contains the camera information and the depth of field data too. Making it even easier to blend CGI with real world footage. The free version is enough to get started. If you want 4k you will need to upgrade to the paid version. Overall I am very pleased with how the app performs and the results. Looking forward to using this on many projects in the future. This means that they are provided at a relative cost. In order to maintain transparency I always try to remain upfront and open about the cost and the time it takes me to create a project. These skills have been and continue to be acquired over thousands of hours of trial and error, research and practice. As an example, a short 10 second clip could be a few hours of my time to complete, from concept to render. Another 10 second project could take two weeks of planning, design, animation, texturing, sound design and more. No two projects are the same. This is why details are very important when planning a project. Having referrances or inspiration as well as a well thought out plan is the best way to ensure clarity for the budget and expectations of the client. Some of my Favorite tools that I use everyday.
