Welcome to Chanthaburi in Eastern Thailand! This city is incredible and only a few hours from Bangkok so we'll worth visiting I have no idea why no foreign tourists bother to visit these smaller towns in Thailand 🇹🇭 Kicked off the day with a hotel tour of where we are staying here right on the Chanthaburi waterfront pretty much on the river! For £10 a night!!! We booked a room at the 'Laluna River House' I highly recommend this place the views are beautiful and the staff are so friendly they were always looking out for us during our stay. First stop was a old wooden styled building noodle shop! We came to try Thailand's famous pink noodle soup also known as yen ta fo. The soup gets its pink color from the fermented bean paste that's put inside, we had a HUGE bowl of the mixed seafood noodles so had mantis shrimp, shrimp, crab, pork balls, fish cake, blood cake and all kinds! It came to 150 THB which is higher than usual but delicious none the less. We then went to the famous rocket ice cream shop here in Chanthaburi and for 12 THB each had a few different flavours including Durian which was so tasty, and thai tea and thai pink milk. Then we went for a walk around beautiful Chanthaburi, exploring the chanthaboon waterfront community which is the main tourist area and rightly so its stunning, we crossed the river to take a look at the Catholic cathedral built under the French back in the day which is the biggest cathedral in all Thailand! On the way back some lovely ladies let us try some of their sweet fish snacks they were making fresh at the side of the street so we bought some for 50 THB, then next door was a traditional tea/coffee shop so for 29 THB each we got an ancient Thai coffee in the sock and a Thai tea with little oranges. On the way back to the hotel a dog came out of a noodle shop in a dress! The owners of the shop were lovely and let us hold their little dog ping ping it was so cute. We finish the video off trying the drinks we bought on the beautiful terrace at the laluna riverfront Hotel before sampling some of Chanthaburi's finest durian chips which we got for 20 THB and were delicious! Please 'Like' the video if you enjoyed watching. It really does help my videos reach more new viewers!
