After spending the night in a peaceful Ugandan village, today I continued the experience by joining my guide’s brother on the farm. We walked into the fields and worked together to collect maize (corn) from their land. It was a powerful moment — not just watching, but helping and living like the local people. 🌽💪 🌾 The farm was beautiful, surrounded by green hills, fresh air, and a calm that city life never offers. After some hours, we came back to the house, took a traditional village meal, and said goodbye to the kind family who hosted me like their own. I felt emotional leaving — because they gave me love, shelter, and a deep look into real African village life. 🛵 I then rode back to Kampala on a boda boda (motorbike taxi) — the most popular way to travel short distances in Uganda. 🏢 Back in the city, I visited a company owned by Sudhir Ruparelia, one of the biggest Nepali-Ugandan businessmen. There, I met and interviewed a Nepali brother who has been working in Uganda for over 10 years in the hotel industry. 🗣️ In the interview, he shared his experience: Life in Uganda is peaceful Ugandan people are polite and friendly The weather is cool and suitable for Nepalis Work is available, but needs patience and dedication It was inspiring to hear his story and see how Nepalis are building lives abroad, even in Africa.
