As part of AZAADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV CELEBRATION and under the support of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Ganesa Natyalaya curated an evening on February 17, 2023 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi dedicated to Mahakavi Subramaniya Bharathi, the great Freedom Poet of Tamilnadu whose poems brought a mass movement against the British for Indian Independence as well as a catharsis in the Indian society against several social evils. Bharathi was passionate and a visionary thus making his poems a good source to choreograph and present. Guru Saroja Vaidyanathan, has choreographed this 90-minute capsule of Bharathi's poems touching all aspects of his vision, a truly an unsung hero of India! We thank and are deeply grateful to Gas Authority of India Ltd as well for their unstinted support in helping put together this dance presentation.
