STORYLINE OF TRAILER: Amelia can't handle the death of her parents and decides to leave the town, she calls Elena up and tells her she is leaving, and Elena tries to comfort her. After a year, Amelia returns, whilst in conversation with Elena, Caroline spots her and lets Elena know. Next clips shows the twins catching up in the kitchen and Amelia returning back to school with her friends, Caroline, Bonnie and Matt. Also returning to Mystic Falls, Damon spots Amelia and watches over before confronting his brother Stefan. Despite saying she's not Katherine, when Damon sees Amelia wearing an old dress, he sees Katherine. Developing feelings for Damon, Mia is not pleased when she sees Damon looking at an old picture of Katherine, who when he looks at Mia, sees Katherine. They continue to grow closer and eventually Damon kisses Mia which you see Mia thinking about when she touches her lips. She decides to go see Damon after their kiss but catches him with Katherine, she is devastated. She starts to ignore Damon who rings her up. They awkwardly run into each other where he apologises to her. Convinced he only likes her for her resemblance to Katherine, Mia can't forgive him. The next scene is how Klaus spots Mia and is very interested. He compels her to remember a time when they were together and makes her forget Damon. Damon goes to rescue her and tells Katherine in the process how he wouldn't have done this for her. Mia realises and tells Damon how much of her life she has lost to Klaus. The next scene is showing how Alaric changes because of the ring. Scene after is Mia mourning for her brother. Damon then tells Elena to turn off her emotions causing a sibling rivalry to break out. Elena turns on Mia and tells her she is damaged goods, Mia fights back that she is pathetic. Mia, Damon, Stefan then witness how bad Elena has gotten.
