He also has avocados and carambolas. He purchased Florida Mango Grovelet over 50 years ago. He has made a lot of changes by selecting different varieties. They started out with 100 trees but just two varieties, Haden and Zill. He learned how to top-graft trees which made it possible to extend the season and increase the production of the grove with more desirable varieties. They currently have over 40 different varieties and constantly evaluate them. Charles has top-grafted over 100 mango trees.
