Voices of Music David Tayler & Hanneke van Proosdij, directors Elizabeth Blumenstock, Lisa Grodin, YuEun Gemma Kim, ISabelle Seula Lee, Augusta McKay Lodge, Gail Hernández Rosa, Shelby Yamin, baroque violin Maria Caswell & Mitso Floor, baroque viola (with solos) Elisabeth Reed, baroque cello Farley Pearce, violone Hanneke van Proosdij, harpsichord David Tayler, archlute Los Angeles-based cellist and violist da gamba Eva Lymenstull enjoys a varied career that has taken her across North America and Europe as a soloist, orchestral and chamber musician, and continuo player. She plays regularly with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Tesserae, Bach Collegium San Diego, and Lyra Baroque Orchestra, with whom she has appeared as concerto soloist on both baroque cello and viol, and has performed with Tafelmusik, Voices of Music, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Australian Haydn Ensemble, and Apollo’s Fire. In 2017, Eva won the Voices of Music International Bach Competition, resulting in a recording of Bach’s D minor cello suite. Other recent recordings can be heard on the Passacaille, Brilliant Classics (with tonight’s soloist and concertmaster Augusta McKay Lodge), and Violet Ear labels. Eva holds degrees from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where she studied with Jaap ter Linden, Rice University (Desmond Hoebig), and the University of Michigan (Richard Aaron), and a doctorate in historical performance practice from Case Western Reserve University.
