Hello again. I thought I'd take you along with me on my second Civil War relic hunt with the Tarsacci MDT 8000. This "New Technology" detector may be the missing link as far as detecting a tough site that usually reserved for a pulse detector without the weight and expense. It also does well on iron infested sites. This "Multi Domain Technology is not a pulse metal detector, nor is it a VLF detector. It's a mixture of the two according to the information from the inventor and I'll have to say that it seems to do things differently. The Tarsacci MDT 8000 Metal Detector is a very easy detector to learn and use and all the setting are visible on one screen; not scrolling through menus. But I have had a bit of a love hate relationship with it on some other issues. None of which affects the performance. Being my second time out, I didn't expect to find much, but I think I did well on this beaten-to-death site. Hopefully, you feel like you are there with me throughout the day. I have detected this site a lot with many detectors, so getting even a few signals is consider a successful day. I detected it several days with the Minelab Equinox 800 prior to this detector arriving. I did well with both detectors and I can't definitively say one is better than the other, yet, but hopefully I'll be able to do some head-to-head comparisons soon. I may even put it up against the Garrett ATX as well. So come along with me to this Civil War site and lets do some relic hunting. I hope you enjoy being with me on metal detecting and other historic adventures and that you will keep following me on YouTube and Facebook. Together, we can Save a lot of Local History. I would like to thank all of you for watch my videos and I'd like to encourage you to subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven't done so already. It's free and it helps me stay motivated to keep documenting my adventures with videos so everyone can enjoy and learn form them.
