Swapping out the Mmoke Fototec lenses for Light Night Fototec in my Tifosi cycling glasses for the darker winter season. I originally used the Podium glasses in a Light Night Fototec shade and while that worked great in the shade in the mountains, they weren't dark enough for extended use in full sun. I found those glasses were a little uncomfortable on the ear pieces and the pressed on plastic nose bridge took flight one day and was lost. The Podium model has been replaced by the Podium XC model. Replacement parts and lenses in limited shades are available for those glasses, but for just a bit more money you can purchase a set of newer glasses. So I picked up the Crit glasses that feature a full frame and adjustable nose and ear pieces. I also went with a darker Smoke Fototec tint. Amazon affiliate link: https://amzn.to/34lDSoU I now picked up a set of Light Nigh Fototec lenses for these glasses for the darker riding months from early November to March. The Light Night shade works OK in the afternoon winter sun and is light enough to use after sunset. Since my monster cross bike is used in all sorts of terrain, it's important that the other gear used while cycling be as versatile. Also, with the more minimal setup compared to a full on MTB, there are additional considerations for no suspension and smaller volume tires as far as seeing what's coming up on the trails.
