Julien Macdonald reveals his latest collection in London

(19 Sep 2015) JULIEN MACDONALD UNVEILS SPRING/SUMMER 2016 COLLECTION International designer, Julien Macdonald, unveiled his Spring/Summer 2016 collection in a derelict London. The collection featured predominantly highly decorated dresses using lace and intricate designs. The delicate handiwork created a shimmery effect which was matched by the gloss the models wore on their own skin. With dark eyes and a 'wet-look' the stark models complemented the stark surroundings of Smithfields market, usually filled with cuts of meat and edible produce, creating a post-apocalyptic feel as each model glided their way along the runway. With high heels a plenty some struggled to maintain their balance and in one case a model had to be helped back to the dressing area by a fellow model. The highlight piece was a wedding dress with a full train which the designer himself escorted the model down the runway in.
