The texture of this cake is like velvet and the icing is fudgy and delicious. This recipe was given to me by David, a subscriber in Houston, Texas. I know you're going to love it. The recipe is below: Texas Pound Cake 3 sticks butter or margarine, softened 2 1/2 cups sugar 6 large eggs 3 cups all-purpose flour 4 tablespoons cocoa powder 2 tablespoons pure vanilla 1 cup milk Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat 2 minutes between each egg. Should be very light and fluffy. Sift flour and add to batter 1 cup at a time. Mix well. Mix extract with milk. Add to batter and mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 10' tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Completely cool. Icing 1 cup brown sugar 3 tablespoons cocoa 1 tablespoon vanilla 1 small can evaporated milk 1 stick butter or margarine Boil this mixture for 3 minutes over medium in a small saucepan. Stir constantly. Spoon over cake.
