I will also do a taste test and tell you what the Mexican Guava tastes like. I love guavas! There are so many different kinds of them as well. They are native to Mexico, Central America, Northern South America, and the Caribbean, but have long been cultivated all over the world. They grow really well in Southern California, Florida, Arizona, Texas, and most southern States. China and India are the two largest producers of guavas. Growing up we had a Pineapple guava tree in our backyard, it was awesome! My mom would make jelly out of it.
