Tennessee is one of the strangest states in America, and today, we’re diving deep into its weirdest and wildest folklore. As a born-and-raised Tennessean, I always knew my home state had its quirks, but while researching this video, I realized it’s even stranger than I ever imagined. From eerie ghost stories to bizarre urban legends, forgotten history, and a haunted attraction so intense it might just break you, this state is packed with the weird, the spooky, and the downright unbelievable. In this video, we’ll uncover the terrifying legend of the Bell Witch, a vengeful spirit that tormented an entire family. We’ll meet Tall Betsy, Cleveland’s 7-foot-tall Halloween specter, and explore the mysterious Memphis Voodoo Village. We’ll even take a detour into the oddities of Nashville—from the origin of the Wampus Cat to the strange history of the Nashville Predators hockey team. And of course, no deep dive into Tennessee’s weirdness would be complete without the Peabody Hotel Duck March, the only paranormal-adjacent waterfowl procession in America. If you love folklore, urban legends, haunted places, and bizarre history, you’re in the right place.
