Today, I am comparing my retwist results to show you how to make your retwist last longer along your loc journey, whether you choose to retwist your starter locs using loc retwisting products or if you choose to retwist your locs with oil and water. The first 2 weeks of this experiment my loc retwist was maintained with my usual moisturizing routine where I use my DIY Hair Growth Oil and my DIY Hair Butter and my satin scarf. Well, for this experiment I retwisted my locs every two weeks; which is equivalent to retwising my locs twice a month which is not bad; however you can go longer inbetween retwist if you wish, but nothing more than twice a month as this can lead to thinning locs.
