The Hioki RM2610 separates the resistance of the positive and negative electrodes of lithium-ion batteries (LIB) into composite layer resistance and interface resistance (the contact resistance between the current collector and the composite layer) and quantifies the results for further analysis. This video shows how to set up and begin measurement. Measure the potential at the electrode sheet surface and use a proprietary Hioki analytical technique to isolate the composite layer resistance and the resistance at the interface between the composite and the current collector. Output this value to quantify the interface resistance, a quantity that has not been possible to ascertain in the past.
