This is a speedrun with several challenges I've imposed on myself to create what I call the definitive "Perfect Run". 💎 Maximum Loot: Only the best stuff for our fortress. Nothing goes in the pack just to fill space. I risk life and limb for that one thing to fill a stack, or just to add more weapons to the arsenal. One thing's for sure, you can never have too many weapons! 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Minimum Kills: You can't progress in the game without clearing at least one shelter. I go ahead and clear all shelters to access the other zones, too. Luring zombies to outside the building doesn't work, either. I really wanted to call this No Kill or Pacifist but didn't know how to account for these shelter requirements. So I made up a term for it. 🦸 Well-Fed and Well-Armed: You can reach the end of the pre-alpha demo by skipping the days, making a speedrun nothing more than holding [R]. But let's top out all of our metrics, instead! 🗺️ All Zones: We tackle every zone available. Because time is tight, I can only visit each zone once, which is good variety for the video, anyway. I count the starter house as cleared because you're literally housed there with no reason to go back, even though it is technically available for later salvage. Unfortunately, even you can't relocate to another shelter outside your sphere of influence. 🙅‍♂️ No Hit: This includes the staggering but non-damaging lunge of a sliding zombie or the grapple of one trying to execute the player. The grapple is a free pass for the player, since it's simple to break away; so we're doing No Hit instead. 💯 Perfect Run: You tell me. Did I do it? I don't know how standard speedrunning is done, but I went as fast as I could with these made-up goals in mind.
