What is an Australian Christmas like?

What is Christmas in Australia like? I spend Christmas in a small country town 90 minutes drive from Perth in Western Australia. Christmas here is dramatically different to what many of you will experience in your hometowns. Christmas in Australia is all about the outdoors, having fun with family on the beach or dining alfresco with your friends at home.
