You wont learn it in one day, it will take you weeks but after that it becomes so easy and its just muscle memory, no much effort is needed to do crazy scores after that. Nitro+Handbrake combo is a powerful mechanic in TC2 drifting. You tap (Tap=0.001sec) both of these buttons simultaneously and by making a fast steering input, makes the car to snap sharply from the one side to the other, or most importantly to extend your drifting trajectory enabling you to take every corner in one drift! Hard to explain, needs practice! [average usage of that combo for me is 3 times per second, for every second of the event, ~300 taps in the whole event! thats how important it is] Some basic information about TC2 drifting: You only need Slippery max (123) on your parts, everything else is irrelevant. Points are awarded based on HOW MUCH TIME you spent drifting in these 2 minutes of an event. Speed is not getting into account for points. Doesnt matter how far in the track you got, or how many laps you did. The slower you go, the more points you get! Why? Lets say we have 2 players, A and B, with the same drifting skills but A is going faster than player B. Player A will complete the 2-minute event having done 40 corners and B 30 corners due to his lower speed. That means that player A will spend MORE time in the 2-minute period switching sides during cornering than B, so A will spend LESS time drifting! It doesnt matter how far you got, how much speed you carried, how many laps you did... Just only the amount of seconds from the overall 120 (2min) you spent on drifting. That is why you want to switch sides fast to minimise the wasted time. Additionally you can see in the video i lift off many times during long corners, not because of drifting skill, but just to slow down and let the time pass, so the 2min-mark can find me as soon as possible! All my drift cars share almost the same pro settings, inspired from AvvieRayne, an old TC2 player master of drift. Kind of personal preference, to make them all driftier, slower, easy to slide, wheels to spin, and snap side switches.
