The Middle Saale Valley is located in the heart of Germany. ( More "beautiful" can be found in the media library: https://1.ard.de/wunderschoen-saale?yt=t ) Uta von Naumburg lived here, the most beautiful woman of the Middle Ages, Bibi and Tina rode on Amadeus and Sabrina, and world-class gymnast Lukas Dauser trains under the watchful eye of gymnastics father Jahn. Daniel Aßmann travels the region with different means of transport such as a canoe, inline skates, an e-bike or simply on foot on the beautiful hiking trails. 00:00:00 Greeting 00:03:27 By bike from the Leuchtenburg to Jena 00:07:10 By canoe on the Saale from Camburg to Bad Kösen 00:19:55 Horses and riding lessons in Posewitz 00:25:15 On the way with a former wine princess 00:32:41 Neuchâtel Castle 00:36:21 Wine tasting at the wine festival in Freiburg 00:43:07 Naumburg, the cathedral, Nietzsche and the famous tram "Wilde Zicke" 00:54:51 The Goseck solar observatory, the oldest in the world 00:59:33 Meeting with Olympic gymnast Lucas Dauser 01:04:14 With inline skates on the Werra-Unstrut cycle path 01:10:10 The Nebra Sky Disc in the Arche Nebra Museum 01:17:56 The mirror ark in Roldisleben 01:19:35 The Hohe Schrecke nature reserve 01:27:41 Farewell Daniel Aßmann starts at the Leuchtenburg near Jena in Thuringia and travels past other magnificent palaces and castles, through the northernmost wine-growing region in Europe and through the Hohe Schrecke nature reserve to Saxony-Anhalt. While he prefers the pedelec on the Saale cycle path, he prefers inline skates for the Werra-Unstrut cycle path. Daniel Aßmann is on foot to the site where the Nebra Sky Disc was found; He paddles a canoe from Camburg to the Käthe Kruse town of Bad Kösen. And he experiences the confluence of the Saale and Unstrut from the ferry. Daniel Aßmann explores Jena, Naumburg and Freyburg and lets a former German wine princess show him around her homeland - including wine tasting. The Saale flows 413 kilometers through Bavaria, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt. It rises as a trickle in the Franconian Fichtelgebirge before becoming a stately river in the Thuringian Forest. The Saale is the largest and most important river in Thuringia and the lifeline of many smaller and larger, historically valuable towns that line up like pearls along the banks. Hardly anywhere in Europe is there such a large number of palaces and castles along the course of a river. The smaller Unstrut flows into the Saale in the flower ground near Naumburg. Saale-Unstrut is a medieval wine and cultural landscape in the middle of Germany. The Saale-Unstrut wine-growing region is on the 51st parallel, making it the northernmost wine-growing region in Europe. It has a total of about 850 hectares of vineyards, so it is not the smallest, but it is one of the smaller wine-growing areas. Vines have been cultivated here for more than 1,000 years. In the vineyards there are so-called vineyard huts. Originally they served as equipment rooms, today many of them have been converted into holiday apartments. Many winegrowers also serve their wine in a tavern. You can find more information about the show here: https://www1.wdr.de/fernsehen/wunders... Do you like our channel?
