This is just a small audio snippet of my Grandmother and me talking, while I did an interview with her about Gist Settlement and the story behind it. My grandmother is the daughter of Osro Turner (my great-grandfather) and she was born and raised on Gist Settlement. I will be covering everything to do with Gist Settlement from how it came to be, what has gone on over the years, and what is going on now with the land. I am a PROUD Turner and Robinson descendant, and I will NOT be telling the story from just ONE person's side, information will be collected from every source possible, all while continuing the fight for a land that is very close and personal to my heart. I do not know how many years I have left with my Grandmother who is now 89 years old ( and STILL a spunky firecracker) but I made a promise I will never give up the fight to save the land.
