Peak District Hike || Exploring the Manifold River & Wetton

The beautiful Peak District in England is the destination for today's adventure. We explore the area around Thor's Cave, the Manifold River and surrounding hills starting from and finishing in Wetton. We take in some breath taking scenery across the dales as well as incredible historical sights peculiar to the Staffordshire area we are in. A touch of Staffordshire Speed Shepherding makes us giggle at one stage, and we see the derelict lead mining sites that have been abandoned for hundreds of years. Throwley Old Hall and its history dating to Medieval times is fascinating as is the more recent history surrounding Castern Hall. This beautiful 18th century Georgian mansion has been used on many period film sets over the years including Agatha Christie's Poirot and others.
